Programs & Services

The work2future Youth Program serves out-of-school youth ages 17 to 21.  The program offers:

  • Youth job training in various fields
  • Work readiness skills development
  • Job placement assistance
  • Career guidance and assessment

The program also offers youth limited supportive services and incentives for completing set goals.  All services are free for those that qualify.

How to Enroll:

The Youth Program runs July 1st through June 30th, with an enrollment period beginning July 1st and ending mid-January.  All interested youth must meet the following criteria:  

  • Must be between the ages of 17 through 21 at the time of enrollment
  • Must be low-income
  • Must be a resident of one of the following cities and/or adjacent unincorporated areas of Santa Clara County:  San Jose, Campbell, Los Gatos, Saratoga, Los Altos Hills, Monte Sereno, Morgan Hill, San Martin or Gilroy
  • Must have the right to work in the US
  • Must have a youth barrier as defined by the Workforce Investment Act (WIA). Youth who are experiencing one or more of the following may qualify:
    • Applicant is basic skills deficient
    • Individual has had problems completing an educational program and/or securing and retaining employment (as defined by work2future)
    • Applicant is Homeless and/or a runaway
    • Individual is a foster child and/or ward of the court
    • Applicant is a parent or currently pregnant
    • Individual is an offender
